As a fellowship, we are growing with the number of people attending our services and youth activities, exciting new ministries being formed, and so forth. It’s a busy place in a great kind of way and our goal is to meet all the various needs. Currently, we are looking for the following skills that you may possess:

  • Administrative skills – providing general support for our pastors and staff – this covers a wide range of duties and tasks!
  • Graphic design skills for the various ministries: flyers, posters, card handouts, website, etc.
  • Management/HR skills.
  • Operational skills.
  • General writing skills – ability to write, proof, edit, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Administrative Assistant I or II

Reports to: Administrative Director

Supervisor: Administrative Director

Classification: This position is classified as Hourly (Non-Exempt).

Compensation: Salary is based on relevant experience, skills, education, and internal/external salary analysis.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, not typically including weekends except for a special event.

Benefits: This position’s schedule is eligible for PTO, participation in the 403b retirement program, and is eligible for TASC FSA benefits. See Employee Handbook for details.

 

Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Administrative Director, pastoral staff, and ministry leads. Works in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment where creative solutions and problem-solving skills are utilized.

Required Education: High school diploma with 2-5 years of experience.

 

Required Skills:

o Mid to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel.

o Strong written skills with an excellent command of the English language for editing.

o Excellent telephone and in-person verbal communication skills. Excellent ability to listen, provide instructions as needed, and handle delicate conversations.

o Strong interpersonal skills with a professional friendly demeanor in order to build rapport and work well with staff, volunteers, and church attendees.

o Flexibility and able to remain calm under a variety of situations and demands.

o Excellent creative and problem-solving skills.

o Highly organized, excellent time management, good initiative, and able to work with limited supervision.

o Excellent eye for detail and quality in work.

o Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Required Physical Abilities:

Mostly sitting, some standing, some walking including stairs, up to 30 pounds lifting. Physical ability to utilize a computer/related software, calculator, printer, and phone system. Ability to retrieve supplies, meet with others and attend to their various needs. Please inquire if a reasonable accommodation is needed.

 

Primary Position Responsibilities:

1. Assists the Administrative Director with tasks and projects related to general administration or personnel, i.e., researching, gathering information, following with employees, creating reports.

2. Provides administrative support to the pastoral staff as needed, i.e., gathering information, working on special projects, or providing materials for Elder Meetings.

3. Creates simple graphic material or assists with printing needs, working in collaboration with the primary graphics person. (May be trained after hire.)

4. Responds to email and phone requests. May take minutes for weekly staff and project collaboration meetings.

5. Coordinates administrative volunteers. May include meeting, orienting, training, and scheduling.

6. Backs up the Administrative Specialist-Finance/Billing. May participate in weekly deposits including cash counting for double accountability security. Cross trains and backs up other department positions ranging from reception to Administrative Director.

7. Assists with occasional large church events. This includes a wide range of tasks, i.e., registration, prepping room, greeting guest speakers. etc.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position: Administrative/personnel manager

    Reports to: Senior or Associate Pastor

    Supervisor: Senior or Associate Pastor

    Classification: This position is classified as Full-time Salary (Exempt).

    Compensation: Salary is based on related experience, skills, education, external market data and internal wage alignment.

    Schedule: This position is expected to work 40 hours per week, not typically including weekends.

    Benefits: This position

    · is eligible for PTO. (>15 hours/week)

    · is eligible for TASC FSA benefit. (>17.5 hours/week)

    Position Summary:

    Provides administrative leadership in multiple areas of church ministry that supports the overall mission of Table Rock Fellowship. This includes support of staff, pastors, elders, ministry leaders and management duties of the administrative team. The primary functions of this position include supervision of office operations, personnel/HR management, written and verbal communications, budget, and overall administrative support.

    Required Education: (Minimum education or training required to fill this position)

    High school diploma with 2-5 years of experience. Higher level education or formal HR training preferred.

    Required Skills:

    · 2-5 years administrative and supervisory or management work experience. HR experience and/or education helpful.

    · Ability to supervise, manage and provide leadership to administrative team members in multiple areas of church ministry.

    · Ability to think strategically and plan accordingly.

    · Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate, and effectively manage any employee, volunteer, or member issue.

    · Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft professional quality memos, letters, written procedures or policies, documentation, etc.

    · Ability to collaborate with other TRF staff and work in a team-based environment.

    · Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel.

    · Knowledge and proficiency with general office equipment. (i.e., phone systems, printer, administrative machines.)

    · Self-starter with strong organizational, productivity and time management skills.

    · Keen eye for detail and the ability to produce quality work.

    · Ability to use discernment and maintain confidentiality.

     

    Required Physical Abilities: Mostly sitting, some standing, walking and stairs, up to 15 pounds lifting sometimes necessary

     

    Primary Position Responsibilities:

    1. Supervises the staff and job functions of bookkeeping, payroll, benefits, administrative tasks, events/hospitality, reception, social media, graphics, ministry lead support, and other areas of administration as needed.

    2. Oversees all daily operations in the front office. Includes approvals, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, developing processes, procedures, and forms, scheduling coverage.

    3. Provides staff leadership to include forming a strong team, conducting staff meetings, cross-training, approving timesheets/general payroll and completing annual reviews.

    4. Provides administrative support to pastoral staff as requested and helps coordinates efforts as needed. This may include sending communications, editing/publishing for print or email, setting up meetings, providing communication, etc.

    5. Updates church business operations manuals and processes such as the Employee Handbook, Volunteer Handbook, Facility Request Process, Administrative Policies, etc.

    6. Manages administrative software and equipment such as Planning Center, Sonitrol, key management, office equipment. May need to learn/utilize other church software such as SharePoint, Canva, Mailchimp, Gmail workspace, etc.

    7. Provides managerial support and HR guidance or personally handles employee related issues such as salary research/commendations, performance reviews, conflicts, or other challenges.

    8. Collaborates with leadership and ministry leaders on operational, ministry and administrative needs. This may include project management and/or providing vision/direction.

    9. Develops and manages an administration budget and provides supervisor review of all budgets of their administration team.

    10.Directly responsible for the overall Human Resources functions of recruitment, payroll, benefits, safety, worker comp, employee relations, and training. Develops policies and practices and provides direction and counsel to leadership, Elders, managers, supervisors, and employees.

    11.Attends weekly leadership/staff meetings.

    12.Performs other duties as assigned.
