TABLE ROCK YOUTH

Students 6th-12th Grade

You Belong Here

This idea of belonging is a Biblical one. It’s all over. We see that early in the scriptures God called a people out and claimed them for his own. From that moment on, they belonged to God. They were his chosen and he made them a promise that he would redeem them from their sins and send a messiah to become a sacrifice for the people that belonged to God. Christ came, fulfill his mission and as a result God’s chosen now encompasses the world. We’re told that we’re heirs to the kingdom, that we’ve been adopted into the family of Christ. In effect, we now have a place where we belong. This is the simple mission of Table Rock Youth to belong. Belong to the church, belong to one another, most importantly to belong to a body that is dedicated to serving our Saviour. When you come you’ll find a place where you’re valued, known, and given an opportunity to grow in your faith. You’ll find a place where you belong.

Our logo encompasses a few ideas. The “Y” for youth and you. The triangle in the middle symbolizes the trinity, the Godhead three-in-one. The circle shows that we’re all one with God, his perfect wholeness. That and we think it just looks good.

TRF Youth – Wednesday Nights

We’re meeting indoors upstairs every Wednesday Night from 6:30 – 8:15 PM.

 What you can expect:

Fun – We usually play a game of some sort

A 15-20 min Bible lesson – For information about what we’re going through see below.

Fellowship – After teaching we break into small groups by age & gender (Jr Hi Boys, Jr Hi Girls, Sr High Boys, Sr Hi Girls) and discuss that night’s lesson.

On Wednesday nights we’re talking about different spiritual disciplines. There’s also a challenge each week to apply what we’re learning to our lives. The disciplines are meditation, prayer, fasting, study, simplicity, solitude, submission, service, confession, worship, guidance, celebration. I am using the book “Celebration of Discipline” by Richard Foster as a loose guide. If you’d like a copy of his book so you can be reading these things as a family, let me know.

TRF Sunday Morning

We are starting off each Sunday during the 11am service by sitting in the main auditorium for corporate worship. We are stilling in the back section closest to the gas station. After worship concludes we head up to the student center where we continue a time of games and teaching. Right now we’re going through the book of Romans.
